Additional Info:
Dear Colleagues, The 2011 Biennial NAAEA Conference is scheduled for Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Washington Marriott in Washington, DC. We hope you will be able to join us. Additional details including registration, housing, and agenda will be distributed soon. For many of you at academic institutions, this meeting doubles as your annual regional administrators meeting. I encourage you to contact your regional committee director so that they are also aware of the event. Ill be glad to extend an invitation to them as well just let me know if you would like for me to do so.

Steve Hanson, Octavio Ramirez, and I have identified a couple of topics for the program, but it would be great if you all could send any additional suggestions. The NAAEA is co-sponsoring the Friend of C-FARE and Agricultural Economics Reception on the evening of Thursday, September 8. For those of you who haven't attended the reception in the past, C-FARE recognizes two congressional members for their appreciation of the application of economics to policy issues involving agriculture, natural resources, food and nutrition topics. It is a great opportunity for department heads to mingle with various policy makers. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me or the AAEA Business Office.

Regards, Ken

Members of NCA-12 will meet in the Department of Applied Economics on the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota on Monday and Tuesday, December 11-12, 2006.

We will start with an informal lunch at noon on the 11th, and conclude by noon on the 12th. A block of rooms has been reserved at the University Radisson on the main UM campus. Reservation information is provided by Missy Sullivan in the Applied Economics office: "Radisson University Hotel, 615 Washington Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414. Call 1-800-822-6757 and ask for the NCA-12 room block BY NOVEMBER 22, 2006 to receive the discounted rate of $97. Each guest is responsible for guaranteeing and paying for their room, tax and incidentals. Any rooms in the block not reserved by Nov. 22nd will be released for sale to the public. Anyone in the NCA-12 group who does not make their reservation in this block by Nov. 22nd risks not having a room and may pay a higher rate. An agenda will be forwarded shortly. Subjects will include an update on AgEcon Search, our advisors' report, and state reports. There was some consensus on topics you would like to see discussed in the survey returned last month, so I will build a program around one or two of these issues.
