We will meet in Albuquerque, NM, on Feb. 24-25. Our formal meeting will be all day on the 24th (Friday). Arrival on the 24th, and departure first thing on the 26th. Ray is looking into a possible meeting with Sandia scientists on Feb. 24. You will hear more about that soon. If you are interested in a Sandia meeting (if it happens), it will likely be the afternoon of Feb. 24 (Thurs). You will then likely arrive on the 23rd.

I am working out the details with the hotel (Hotel Albuquerque). The rate will be about $100/night. I will have more details soon. You will have to call the hotel to make the reservation (I will have a code soon). I will need to guarantee a minimum number of rooms for Feb. 24 and 25 (departure on 26), so please make the reservation as soon as I give you the code and phone number. Since it is very uncertain about the need for rooms on Feb. 23, I am not guaranteeing rooms for that night, but the hotel has many rooms available (and the special rate is actually valid for 23 days before and after our event). Once we know about whether there will be a Sandia meeting, you will want to get a hotel room reserved.

There will be a registration charge for the meeting, which I will then use to pay for the conference room. I will give the price later, and you can just bring a check to the event (no credit cards). I will have receipts.

In review, the basic schedule is to arrive on Feb. 24 (any time), and we will meet all day on Feb. 25. Depart any time on Feb. 26. If we have the Sandia event, you would arrive on Feb. 23.

This is a revised authorization notice due to an error in the meeting dates in the first notice. Please disregard the first notice and consider this as the official notice. The annual meeting of NCAC-14 will be held on Jan. 11-12, 2007. Travel days will be the day before and after the meeting. Reservations can be made by calling the Hotel directly at 505-843-6300 or 1-800-237-2133 or 1-866-505-STAY (7829). You must indicate NCAC-14 to receive the group rate and reservations must be made by December 11, 2006 to receive the group rate of $129 per night. The Committee will meet Thurs., Jan 11 and Fri. morning, Jan 12. On Friday afternoon, the committee will meet with researchers at Sandia National labs to hear about new technologies in pathogen detection.
