- The NC-1006 Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 29 (tentative times 8:00AM-6:00PM) and Friday, September 30, 2005 (tentative times 8:00AM-12:00PM Noon). The meeting will take place at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Carolyn Komar will be the Host of this year's meeting. Please make your reservations at your convenience at the following hotel. They have a block of rooms/suites reserved for us, and you just need to mention NC-1006 to get the group rate: Baymont Inn & Suites, 2500 Elwood Drive 515 296 2500 (phone), 515 296 2874 (fax)$64.95/night.
As you make travel plans, if you can let Carolyn know if you are flying into Des Moines, when your flight arrives, and she will make arrangements for transportation from Des Moines to Ames. Likewise, let her know your departure schedule and she will arrange transportation back to the Des Moines Airport.

- The NC1006 Annual Meeting will take place at the DoubleTree Club, St. Louis, Missouri Airport on Thursday, September 23 (8:00AM-5:00PM)and Friday, September 24 (8:00AM-12:00PM Noon), 2004.
Administrative Advisor''s Note: In preparation for the annual NC-1006 meeting I ask that you pay careful attention to the recommendations made during the project rewrite process. In particular, please consider the following:
"Overlap with NE-161-The Multi-state Research Committee still finds overlap with the Northeast project NE-161. A plan of coordination with the NE-161 to include at least some joint activities should be included with specific actions to be done prior to the midterm review of this project. The proposal requires milestones to be listed with timing and some joint activity should be planned for the early years of this project."
The interaction with NE-161 and the standard annual report will be considered during the midterm review that will occur following this year''s meeting. A special effort should be made to encourage NE-161 members to participate in this year''s meeting. At the very least contact should be made with NE-161 to organize one or more interactions to occur during the life of these project plans of work. This is essential to completing a successful midterm review and to be considered for continuation two years later.

The NC-1006 Annual Meeting will be held on campus (Purdue University)it is just a couple minutes drive from the hotel. Rebecca will arrange for transportation to/from the hotel to campus.
