- NC-504 and NCR-137 will hold their joint annual meeting with the Southern Soybean Disease Workers (SSDW) at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort in Scottsdale Arizona. NC504 will hold its business meeting on March 2 and NCR137 will hold its business meeting on March 3 from 8-5:00. The majority of SSDW meeting will be devoted to soybean rust discussion. The SSDW Annual Meeting Announcement is attached and the meeting is to begin at 7:30am on March 2. Additional meeting information will be sent to committee members via email. - April 12-14, NC-504 Committee will meet at Ft Detrick, Frederick, Maryland. We arrive Frederick in the evening of 12th. On the 13th (Tuesday), we will learn hand-on experience of soybean rust in FDWSRU containment facility. In the morning of 14th, we will have business meeting and end it no later than noon. Together with Reid Frederick, Dr. Mo Bonde will be our host from FDWSRU for this event. Since their containment facility can handle no more than 8 people each time, we will divide our committee into two groups, one group into the facility in morning to learn the rust and another in the afternoon. The group outside will visit post and other facilities.

If you travel by flight, you can fly into Washington Baltimore Airport or Dulles Airport. Ft. Detrick is 45 minutes drive from airports and you are suggested to rent a car to the hotel.
