- This notice authorizes the NC-170 annual meeting on Thursday, August 5th beginning at 8:45 a.m. and Friday, August 6th at Iowa State University in Ames.
Getting to Ames: The closest airport to Ames is the Des Moines International Airport (http://www.dsmairport.com/). From the Des Moines airport, it is a 45 minute drive to Ames. There are 6 rental car agencies in the terminal and Executive Express (http://www.executiveexpress.biz/City/54/Ames.aspx) runs a shuttle with regular service to Ames for approximately $36 per passenger, one way. Hotel: A block of 10 rooms are reserved for August 4-6 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ames. The hotel will offer a discounted rate of $89/night. Reservations must be made by July 7 and calling the hotel direct at 515-233-8000 and asking for the NC 170 Group or by calling 1-877-STAY-HGI.
